I Started A Vlog

I Started A Vlog

I always wanted to keep this blog up, but I just sucked at it.

I did a lot of writing at work, so by the time I got home the last thing I wanted to do was to write more. Hell, half the time towards the end I didn’t want to do anything that involved being in front of a computer at all.

But that all changed a little while ago. I had some free time (which will be explained below in the video) and wanted to get back to finding a way to put my thoughts and opinions out to the world. This time I decided to try video.

So a little over a month ago I decided to start a vlog. It would give me a chance to try a new medium and learn to do some new things, like shooting and editing video.

I named my new channel A-D-D On Video to fit with the theme of this blog. It would give me the flexability to jump all over in terms of subjects just like I always wanted to here (or like I did, however briefly I actually did it for).

I’m going to start posting all of my vlogs here as well, just so that you have another place to find them. Over the next week or so I’ll post all of the videos I’m made so far and then I’ll continue to post them here as I make them.

Who knows, maybe I’ll even start to do some writing here again too…

Anyways, enough writing. Here’s me talking instead….

Enjoy my first ever vlog! (And don’t mind me slapping my leg all the time in this video, I noticed it too and made sure I didn’t do it in all the videos I made after this one).

Someone Needs To Say This About Hoverboards…

I know I’m fighting a losing battle with this one, but someone needs to say something because I just can’t stand it anymore…   THIS is a hoverboard:   THIS is a hoverboard:   THIS is (sort of) a hoverboard: via GIPHY   THIS is NOT a hoverboard: Why do people insist on calling these things… Continue Reading

Get Your Memories In Order For 2016… And Ever

If my computer and backup drive were to both die one day, there’s very few things that would really be missed. Most of the things on my computer could be got again. But the one thing I’d miss is my insane collection of pictures that I’ve taken over the years. Since I got a digital camera… Continue Reading

The Phoenix Will Rise In 2016

I’ve hesitated on pressing publish on this post for about a week, but I decided to say “fuck it” and go for it…     At the end of 2014 something happened to me and it completely ruined my 2015. I never really said anything about it to anyone, close friends and family included, but… Continue Reading

Getting Back To Basics; Just Writing

You may notice that it’s been a little while since I wrote in this blog. And by “a little while,” I really mean over a year. When I first started blogging years ago it was just to write about things I was interested in and just for fun. But then I got a job where… Continue Reading

Just A Few More Days To MO, And I Need Your Donations…. Please

It’s that time of year again folks. The one where I ask you to donate a little bit of money for something I think is a great cause. So much so, that I willingly take the beauty that is my face and make it look ridiculous. But all for a charity, of course. I don’t… Continue Reading

Why Are You Complaining About The #ALSIceBucketChallenge?

The #ALSIceBucketChallenge has hit official viral status. And of course, that means that people are going to start complaining and attacking it. But you know what I have to say those people? SHUT UP! I’ve seen 2 specific complaints about the #ALSIceBucketChallenge that I’d like to address. The first one is the worst one. People… Continue Reading

The ONE Thing I Really Miss About Driving

I haven’t owned a car for over 10 years. I still drive every once and a while, but I live in downtown Toronto and pretty much everywhere I go can be easily accessed by public transit, biking or even… walking. And to be honest, I love not owning a car. There’s no cost in my… Continue Reading

What Apps Make The Perfect Homescreen?

R.I.P. to my much beloved iPhone 4. 2010-2014. It was a long time coming. Anyone who knew me knew that I probably should have got a new phone ages ago. I was holding on to that iPhone even though it had been showing signs of death for probably half a year. Not to mention, it… Continue Reading

Ok, I Quantified Myself. Now What?

The idea of the “Quantified Self” keeps on gaining more and more traction. First there was FitBits and step counters, then Nike Fuelbands and now Samsung has a fitness watch and Apple is planning on coming out with Health Book in their next iOS release. I bought a Nike Fuelband when they first got released… Continue Reading
